Holiday gathering on Thursday
We're just days away from our holiday gathering on Thursday morning.
This year, we’ll have an alternative to a longer speaker format that we’ve had in previous years. You can call it a holiday version of table topics. Anyone willing to participate will speak for 2-4 minutes and present a “holiday toast” on subjects such as: favorite holiday traditions, gratitude for a successful year, new year’s resolutions, what the season means to you, etc. Keeping in the custom of Toastmasters, we will have friendly informal judging and declare someone’s talk “best holiday toast.” And who knows, maybe Toastmaster Santa may stop by.
Please RSVP to Jessica Witt Tegt and indicate whether or not you will make a “toast”.
As mentioned during the last meeting, we’ll have our holiday/Christmas/Chanukah/ Kwanza gathering at the Comfort Suites meeting room at our regular meeting time.
Instead of spiked eggnog this year, we’ve decided to go with a light continental breakfast catered from City Bagel, along with coffee and juice.
